How do I choose the right material family?
The choice isn’t made from a manufacturer catalogue alone. Three factors are enough to rule out most unsuitable families before even comparing datasheets:
- The substrate to bond or protect: metal, plastic, glass, textile.
- The temperature environment : continuous and peak, with or without a flame-resistance requirement.
- The mechanical or chemical constraint : vibration, sealing, chemical exposure, biocompatible contact.
