A constant evolution
At Alsace Techniques Etiquetage we have made excellence our daily business. All our processes are high precision and fully guaranteed. Specialists in repeatability in automatic dispensing, we are able to offer targeted solutions, particularly against creep. We are also constantly questioning ourselves on how we can improve our processes. That’s why we have three people working full time improving the software and hardware of our machines. Each new solution is adapted to the entire machine park. The special requirements and problems of our customers are analysed with the utmost care in order to offer them a perfect result. To achieve this, our industrial manufacturing process is divided into several stages depending on the complexity of the project.
Research and development stage
Analysis of the customer’s needs
First of all, our sales team assists the customer in defining the project. Together they analyse the nature of the desired product, its technical characteristics: shape, type of adhesive, with or without printing, with laminate or varnish, field of application, product presentation (roll, unit, folding screen, sheets), quantities (MOQ or minimum order).
Specifications and material sample
Once the specifications have been defined, a material sample is sent to the customer. This is done in order to validate together the mechanical constraints of the project in terms of rendering, adhesiveness and printability.
Prototype and process definition
After validation, we can produce prototypes on request. These will be used to validate the manufacturing process: laser cutting, rotary or flatbed cutting, and flexography or digital printing. Our Computer Graphics and Methods and Tooling departments are then called upon.
Validation of proofs
Whether for printing or technical cutting, the proofs are sent to the customer and must be validated before any production and tool order (engraved tools or magnetic plates).
Production under FMEA and monitoring plan
We enter the production phase under the control of our quality department. On request, a specific PPAP quality file can be opened, in which case we include a few additional parts called initial samples in the order. These are taken before series production. Samples will also be taken during production, carefully checked and included in the PPAP file.
